I just put my pickup in the garage so i can start my headlight swap.. wife has the camera so no picks, my bad.

But what other ones are out there on these older pickups? Im using the grand cherokee ones for the double lamp style and fairly cheap aftermarket units that take advantage of that

.. he he i said unit

thought about the newer f-150's but the single bulb for the actual driving and high beams made for some less exciting aftermarket upgrades.

definetly would have gone with the Range rover, but 2-300 bucks for one used light is a little steep!

anyone use the plastic replacement housings with the angel eye effect? etc. etc.

You should get the round style from the early 70's Yota pickups. That would look cool!

the dual rounds would be tricky but i bet it could be done.

i just buy the OEM hella H4 replacement housings, way F'n brighter then stock, and mostly look stock.

course everything i got has 4 4.5in rounds cept my wheeler which has 7in rounds.

the ebay special angel eyes are crap, the beam pattern sucks ass.

better off getting some bmw angel eye HID's from a wrecker and making them work

edit: or maybe trying to fit a newer (90+) complete 4rnr sr5 grill/lights

My 75 has the 4 headlight system, no real custom conversion but I did upgrade from the stock 55/60 watt rating, the outers I replaced with Hella H4 units with 80/100 bulbs and the inner original Hi beam I used KC long range 150 watt bulbs with a floor mounted foot switch to turn them on and off.
Someone flashing thier Hi beams at me better be prepared to put sunblock on:D ps. alternator upgrade is advisable.

I hear what your sayin, don't get me wrong, I,m not out looking for victims,
actually I have had them for some time now and never had anyone flashing me while on the road, guess the moral of the story is I bit the bullet, spent the money for the equipment, and spent the time to adjust the lights correctly, instead of screwing them to the front and letting them shine where they shine :D

    got one side in place

i can't get pictures up here so i just stuck em on cardomain again.

but i got the passenger side all the way cut out and welded the hood and new body line of the fender, just have to add a lip/edge to the flat part for some strength and to trim out the hole.. so it meets the headlight

i started cutting the other side and should be trying to get this done enough for some body work this week or so.

Hey ( jackash002 ) Heres a trick to post your pictures from Cardomain " works good, the links you know work well, but in the case of your 09 - 07 - 08 post

    instead of . . .
    http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...jpg?060811-251

Right click on the photo you want, go down to properties - click it, then highlight and copy all of the address EXCEPT for the ? mark, itll work swell, they changed their photo deal and its sucks it took a bit for me to figure it out, BUT, it works. Should look like this from cardomain . . .

    try this . . .

below is the viewable image so, ill show ya what it should look like when you post ( minus the spaces in the IMG feild for toyotaminis )

    [ I M G ]http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/9/web/3081000-3081999/3081322_11_full.jpg[ / I M G ]

i have the fenders done minus an adjustment or two, no body work until i get the bumper made or on. fricken melted the headlight when i had a brain fart..

they were initially going to be mock up headlights so mistakes like this wouldn'y matter, and buy some aftermarket ones for final assembly, But i recently made a deal with my wife to sell my 83 p/u and 85/86 4runner to let me get an 83 toyota trailblazer, and don't want to put the extra money as it will probably only sell for a lil over a grand, So what about the idea of sanding and filling the melted section and blacking out most of the headlight and making a painted eyelid, or just doing the border or something to cover the burned side?

And what do you guys think it would look like to have the hood come down at a steeper angle from the fender to make a more squinted look to the headlights? an eye-lid style but connected to the hood, and the grill will just be a square tube outline and some sort of grill material in the center.? speed grill, mesh, somethin.

got the headlights.. still there, but mounted a bumper

got an M3 bumper off one needing replaced at work.. and slapped it on there, had to take in the corners a couple inches because of the flare out the bmw's have on the fenders that these 2wd's dont.. might have been perfect with 4wd fenders, or at least not as bad.. but already had a lot of time in these fenders... these are just pics when i first started lining it up, will post pictures where it's not held up by a paint can soon... only thing i don't like is how dang low it is already, i will have to put a full body kit on it to look right, and then lower it only a few inches will be on the ground... but oh well i guess.
