has any one used a 95 to 00 tacoma bed on 84 to 88 pick

    As the tittle said I have a 88 pick up 2wd short bed will a tacoma bed fit on it. I know that the gas door is on oppisite side but will the bed bolt on or what will be need it to achive this. i was unable to find anything on google,so if anyone has done this please let me know will like to see pictsss. if not what other options do i have thank you.

    the tacoma beds are completly different..no fit.

    Yeah wouldn't think so. They don't even keep simple things like light bulb sockets the same for long. Sometimes I want to slap the engineers who think changing stuff constantly is a good idea.:doah:

    i found a 89 regular cap long bed will this one fit on my 88 regular cap, I'm sorry if i sound kind of stupid but I just don't know too much about this trucks and really want to get a bed for my truck. thanks guys the reason y I ask about the tacoma bed it's because it was free.

    well, you could try to modify to mount the bed (temporarily?) until you get a proper bed.

    its up to you.

    I just don't want you to run around with a mismatched bed and look funny.

    anyway, the tacoma's will have the gas tank cap on the wrong side too.

    if you need anything, just ask.

    Ive scene a ford ranger "splash" fleet side (step side) bed on a 84-88 hilux.duzent look to bad?let me see if i can snap a shot on that lil buggah.

    IT HAS TO BE A 93-UP MODEL FORD SPLASH.HERES SUM PIX OF THE BED AND WHAT IT LOOKS LYKE.I STILL NEEDAH FIND A PIC OF THE 84-88 HILUX W/THE BED ON.:eyecrazy:
