Who has guns and what kind, what do you like to do? hunt, target practice, plink, armed robbery? LOL last one was a joke.

I have right now a 1942 or somewhere round there too lazy to look, Mosin Nagant, and a unknown year(id guess 50s-70s, but the top slide thing was made in the 80s for the 9mm) Norinco model 213 9mm pistol, Its a 9mm norinco version of the Russian Tokarev pistol from WW2, seems to be very accurate. Any thing Norinco chinese is good stuff.

I love old guns, My next gun will be either a WASR10(romanian AK47 copy). or a PPSH41 ww2 russian submachine gun. All semi auto just so they can be imported and legal.

I am also looking at getting the new Steyr AUG A3 made by sabor defence. Its manufactured by them to get around importation laws plauging this gun since 1989. But I love just holding it, My favorite gun so far. I had a WASR10 ak, great gun, but I love the AUG more, just the pricetag is kind of high but worth it to me for a accurate, quick follow up shot gun.

I am only into target practicing... long range, short range, anything, I want to get into pull the sights up really fast and trying to hit the target as fast as possible. So far I love shooting the pistol I have.

I used to own a Savage 93R17 bolt action .17hmr rimfire, that gun was accurate, Im used to 30-70 year old guns, I could shoot a golf ball at 100yrds all day long. Super fun. But traded it for a toyota truck.

I like the fact that you were able to take from one hobby and trade into another. No cash involved. :waytogo:

I say try and trade another weapon for recore work on your radiator. :D

haha. The only reason I traded that one gun was because it was from walmart, got it when I was 17 and wasnt anything special about it to me. I like old guns, I like old cars, I like old motorcycles, old bicycles, I like old stuff, cept for women haha.

I still am mad at myself for selling my first ak47... Never again will I sell a gun haha.

Our laws over here are waterproof.. ya know... like a fishes -rsehole.

Only have a .32 winchester lever and a .22 boltaction.

Thats it at least for a few months when I can upgrade my license. Aiming to get around a .308 or a 300 Winchester Magnum. Forklift and bobcat is sadly first.

I do want to get another bigger caliber. Maybe a M1 Garand in .308 or a AR15, very unpractical guns, but its a hobby so... I dont ever expect to finish buying guns, ill probably only get 1 or 2 more this year just because of price. Im glad our laws arent as stringent as CA's. I do want a Sako TRG42 in .338 lapua if i ever want to try shooting stuff a long way away or just look at it hanging on my wall. haha

So basically anyone can buy a gun in Cali? Or all USA?
Where does the law stop with those. I mean what are the restrictions?
My neighbor has a ****load of guns. Big, small, handguns, shotguns, rifles. And he has a deer/elk/bear target range. I always think they are real when I drive by his house. Then the next day the head is blown off!

This is exactly what I am allowed... its been updated so I can get more of a variety. Maximium under my lisence is still 30 firarms but it costs nearly 2000 to get one from the closest gunshop to my place... so there is no point.

To make matters worse, I legally cannot buy ammo (too young) I overcame this when I was given 100 rounds by the cops (when I did the test for my 22) and had used 90. Went to the GS and bought what I needed to reload and have never looked back.

By the end of the year I'd like to get a handgun. I'm not too picky, but it has to be a .45 :D Because my logic is IF I ever have to defend myself with it, I don't want to risk something small being not enough. You don't always get 2 shots. Not that I get into those types of situations.

I'd love to get a long range rifle. Something I can practice 300+ yard shots with. I'd always been drawn to the art/math of that stuff.

In Cali the gun laws are kinda strict. If you have a criminal past I don't think you can buy one legally. You can't have a fully automatic an no .50 calibers unless it was bought before an registered before that law passed. An I think if your under 21 or 22 you can't bu a handgun

    ***Le sigh***

While Cali is indeed an F'd up state all around, your assessment of its fireaarms laws is woefully inaccurate.

Technically misdemeanors are 'crimes' and yet even being convicted of one does not preclude firearms purchases or ownership. FELONIES on the other hand, do.

California DOES allow fully automatic (class3) firearms, whereas Washington prohibits them.

I'm not sure if Cali has a 21 age limit on handgun ownership or not, but the 21 age that most people think of is a FEDERAL restriction when purchasing from a LICENSED DEALER. There is no federal law prohibiting a PRIVATE PARTY PURCHASE or OWNERSHIP of a handgun buy those under 21. (I have heard reference to a federal law prohibiting possession of handguns to those under 18, but have been unable to locate said law in writing).

Eh. The 21 thing doesn't bother me. I'm 22. :D And either way, I'd never live in california. I hate vacuum hoses

I got me a couple. First rifle I owned was a Winchester 30-30 that my dad got from someone who was in debt due to chicken fighting. He bought it for $60 and i'm sure that its worth at least a thousand nowadays...Winchester no longer makes it and i'm sure you avid gun owners know that Winchester is currently going under. I also have a Winchester lever action in .375 that i usually use for hunting. Here in Hawaii we love hunting them boar pigs, usually with dog and knife but we always carry just in case. And of course i gotta have a Kimber. Currently have the Pro Carry II in 45ACP with night sights and Crimson Trace Lasergrips. I'm dying to get a Nighthawk T3 though...now that is one hell of a nice handgun. To bad it will cost me an arm and a leg and right now, my 1973 Celica GT is the one eating all my greens.
