My paw paw has an 89 toyota pick up which has went unused for 2 years (he wouldn't let me drive it) and he's going to start back driving it. I love the 89-95 toyota look but I really love the look of the 80's Toyotas even more. I would like to surprise him.Will an 87-88 grill fit an 89? Would it require mods, if so what kind? Anybody got an 89-95 with an earlier grill?

 

I think I've seen it done before. I know it's very common to put the 79-83 grille onto the 84-88 rigs in the 4wd crowd. Likely takes the same amount of effort to make it work. Zip ties to mount it is my guess.

 

Zip ties, not many would be happy with that unless it's a beater.
