Hey guys i am new to this site, in fact just signed up haha. I bought my 79 2wd pickup about a month ago and have been roaming the internet since then for a dang forum for 2wd toyota trucks. I ran into so many 4wd forums and even signed up for one and also minitruckin forums(they are a horrible source of info since no one replies) but yeah i'm hopin i can find some great info on my future plans for my "unorthodox street rod" i guess you would call it

Okay well i'm gonna try and reply to everyones post in this one so bare with me. I will update pics as soon as i get to a computer unless one of you guys knows how to upload pics on here from an iPhone. I am from spokane although i spent a brief period of time in the vancouver area. 1982rn thank you i may start hitting you up here one of these days. I would love to go but i don't like my truck on extended drives so i may have to miss out on the mini truck meets. Well since no one asked what my future plans are i'll just go ahead and tell you hahaha. I'm not looking to bag my truck or do any crazy ass custom stuff. Like i said i'm kind of looking to build a street truck. But since everyone thinks of chevy, ford, and dodge two wheel drive tire roasters i guess i'm a little off the beat and path. Hahahaha once i get another daily driver and a short bed frame since mine is a long bed i'm going to gut the entire truck down to the frame and basically build from the ground up. I found a place online that does a full build on the 22r motors so i'm gonna try my best to get rid of the tired cardureted 20r haha. I'm thinkin a mild drop raked in the front with some nicer black rims and i'm going army gree!!!!!! I think my biggest challenge will be the interior cause i hate that nasty ass brown!!!! Let me know what you guys think of my plans so far!

the easiest way to upload a picture on your iPhone is to download the "Photobucket" app. It should be a free app and if you dont already have an account its free to sign up.

Once you create an account to "Upload Media" on the bottom in the tab selection.

You will have two selections to make on the top. Either "Choose Existing" or "Choose Camera"

If you choose an exsiting all you need to do is click on the pictures you wish to upload.

After you have uploaded the pictures click on the "My Albums" tab and if you dont see your pictures click on the "Albums" tab on the top.

Touch a picture you wish to upload and on the bottom right there will be a circle with a "?". Click on that "?" and a list will appear.

If you want to post to this forum the easiest way to post is click on the "IMG" box and the address will automaticly copy.

Now just go to the forum and press and hold to get the "paste" tab on and post the image.

By the looks of your pictures, I can already spot some parts that I can help you get. I hope you are planning on getting rid of that wooden center console. I wish they left it its original vintage 70's orange.

And I'm like you...I'm not into the "bagged" look. My truck is set-up for the street with its engine mods and still functions as a truck for camping.

Just send me your parts request since I know what's available and what's not whenever you are ready. As I mentioned, I also have another source for used OEM parts.

I have some family members up in pacific northwest, but they are in King County.

    Rick

Hahaha i actually don't mind the plywood center i like the idea of it but definitely don't like the execution. Hahaha everyone tells me they should have left it orange hahaha. Don't mind the black. I need a new dash since it's cracked. I thought about making a custom center console sort of like this one but i would make it taller for an arm rest and covering it in some sort of foam and black vinyl material. Hahaha but yeah need interior parts bad. Also need a short bed frame because i am not touching it till i have a short bed in this body style!!! Also looking to pick up a 2001 tacoma 4wd for my daily driver from my brother in law. Once i get the daily driver and the frame it's on like donky kong!!!!!
