Hello everyone, great site, had no idea it existed until searching for a part for our truck. 1974 Toyota Hilux with just 47,000 original miles. Our paint was faded pretty bad, so we are re-spraying the original color this week, been in storage for a long long time. runs just about perfect, very fun truck again. We like original toyota vehicles, so it will stay that way for now. Picture:
hey thanks everyone, I would leave it, looks good like it is...but I love original OE toyota colors from the 70's.,,,,its going in tomorrow, will post pics in a few day's. Plans are paint, then display with toyota colection bums/vv360/whatwheels/buffbrown.jpg[/IMG]
Should I paint the headlight bezel like the vintage add above ?? where could I get the paint code if yes. I see they shipped both way's back in the day.
Snap another Colorado guy! Right on man! What part of CO do you live in? I live in Greeley. Also welcome to TM, great looking truck, and I say match the headlight grill, I think it would look much better. Also I noticed in the picture your missing a gas door, I have another one you can have. I also have an OEM front bumper, it will need a bit of work but if you want it ill donate it to the project.
I was actually just noticing that on the add on the last page. Interesting, learn something new everyday
Welcome to Colorado, I am in the springs. I have a painter that would do a great job, just see my ride thread.
