    Hey Guys,

I have not been on for quite a while, been doing/getting work done.

1.Hollandia full sliding electric sunroof (gift from my father in law, said how much he appreciated me taking care of his daughter and grandson, thats my job as a father and husband isn't it, way cool) The sunroof slides bacl and opnes about 75% but I don't like how it looks hanging over the back of the cab so I just open it up where it meets the back of the cab even, I'm too damn picky sometimes

    2. 1955 chrome Chevy sedan side mirrors

3.Coverted side wing windows to one peice, everything brand new except glass and inside window channel, it was kinda a bitch but well worth it See old and new pics attached

4.Shaved smooth front 87 bumper and lower valance (all holes closed and bolts welded from inside attaching to factory bumper brackets which attaches to front frame comes off all one peice

5.Shaved and closed up tailgate and new rollpan with license plate box installed

    6.Black 4x4 grill

    7.Bixenon hi/lo headlight kit

    8. (can't see it) but brand new LC Engineering pro clutch kit, with a stainless braided clutch fluid hose.

    9. Finally my future Mini Trucker and owner of this truck one day, my son Aidan

Let me know what everyone thinks
Was going to get body work done next year but changed my mind I'm going to keep working on other things I want the truck to have and save that for very last.

Only the best for you baby!

Forgot to mention,, when the rear was being done, got a new bed door/lock/partial floor made and closed the open gap and stripped the bed floor down to bare metal, now I can put (shallow) things back there and it won't fall through the hole

    Thanks,

Heres a close up of it opened. The mirrors are small, going to have to get used to them but like how they look, no night pictures yet.

Webasto Product North America, Inc. Heres their website, I am pretty sure webasto bought out Hollandia, but its the same product.

I called all around this area and nobody could/would install a sunroof, I finally got a contact info from a glass shop for a guy in Spokane that specializes in them, I paid his gas $ here and back and made him lunch and he came down and installed it, excellent job. Thinking about having him install one in our/my DD Corrola someday.

My truck had a dead engine for cool desert nights and I didn't think pushing it around would be much fun.

You've probably seen my truck around it kinda sticks out. :D

I gots no truck, for now
truck looks great, might i make a minor suggestion though.
why not narrow the rear axle and fill in the holes in the bed where the tires poke through.

That's a good idea about narrowing the rear end. You could use a Ford 8.8 axle. I am planning to use one on my '89 project eventually. It lends itself a little better to my application since my truck has a 3" wider rear end, but you could make it work.

Mustang II Network Forums - V8 5-lug Explorer Differential Narrowing

The final width on that setup was 56.75" which would not be helpful since your truck already has a rear axle width of 55". However if you put a short side axle shaft on the long side and had a single custom short short shaft made you could probably end up with it narrowed up a bit more than your stock axle. Worst case, with 2 custom axle shafts you could definitely do it. There are a couple great things about this particular rear end swap for our trucks. One is the disc brakes. Make sure you get your rear end out of a 95-01 V8 Explorer and you will get a nice rear disc conversion out of the deal too. Also the lug pattern is basically the same as our trucks, or maybe a 1/2 a mm off or something but for practical application they bolt right up.

You guys with 89-95s, just find one of these at Pick n Pull and stuff 2 short side axle shafts in it, narrow up the axle tube on one side and bolt it up. Pretty easy. Everyone wants Ford 9" rears so these 8.8's are pretty abundantly available. There is one at my local Pick n Pull for under $200.

That is a great idea. I would eventually like to redo my backhalf and set it up for bag on bar, rides nicer, lifts higher and looks cleaner.

BTW, somehow I totally forgot to say, the truck is looking great! I've just been excited about the 8.8 swaps lately for Toyota and got on that track, but I love your truck. Even the wheels peeking through the bed a bit doesn't bother me. I thought it was pretty cool when I first saw that done on Frank, but discs and a narrowed rear end would be hot too!:waytogo:

I forgot to mention something else I did, not a big deal but its all in the detail right?

Changed all my exterior light phillips screws to stainless allen head screws.
