Gauge cluster swap ?'s

    So I was in the local you-pull-it junkyard the other day and found a bunch of the 89+ clusters and was wanting to know if I could swap it into my 86 without too much trouble. I have searched and can't seem to find too much info just yet. I cannot seem to find an 84-88 sr5 cluster locally to save my life. If it will fit and is merely some re-wiring, that is definitely doable. Thanks!

    The 89 was a different style cluster than the 84-88. I don't think that it is feasable to put it in a 86. The 89 4-runner however was the same as the 86 trucks if by chance it came from there. I just bought an 84-88 SR5 cluster on ebay to put in my 88 Yesterday. Hopefully UPS doesn't lose it like the last one I had bought. Good Luck
