    Truck:
    1990 Standard Cab 4x4
Hi all! I'm Josh and have been surfing your site for the past few months gaining all kinds of knowledge and advice on various topics from your forums, thanks a lot by the way! I currently drive a 1990 Toyota Pickup, 4x4, standard cab, short bed. It has been restored once and it was beautiful! It had baja fenders and was rolling on 35x12.5's. This past December it was hit by a 2000 Ford Excursion, luckily i had no passengers as the door was pushed halfway into the passenger side seat, and the impact pushed me approximately 30 feet down the road. The accident was blamed on me so all financial responsibility of getting my truck back to its glory is set on my back.

Although most people I have talked to have only negative comments on how my truck is now a POS and isn't worth restoring because of this reason or that reason, i am going to bring it back to life. I have a connection to my truck as some of you may have experienced, not only is it my first vehicle, but since the day i saw it i loved it, mind you, it was rear ended twice by a drunk driver and was in a head on collision when I bought it. It restored once already, but shop's job was not up to my standards, of course as a naive young boy of around 13 it was beautiful to me then, but as time went along i began to notice all of the flaws. This is why I will be restoring my truck this time.

The restoration will consist of a full CAB, yes a FULL CAB swap. I have already acquired the donor cab, which i got a steal of a deal on by the way, since i pulled it myself. It is from a 1993 2WD Toyota, but from what i have researched everything will bolt on, right now i must cut the hole in the floorboard for my transfer case and it will be off to the paint shop on Wednesday. I have to choose my color the next few days and all prep work has been done by yours truly. Then i will learn how to paint and after that the biggest part of my project ensues.

Although this is a may seem like a huge undertaking for a boy merely 17, you can be assured that this project will be completed at the latest by April of 2015. The reason i can guarantee this is because if i do not finish this by the above date, i do not graduate high school. This is what is known as a senior project in Idaho, it is one of the most ambitious projects ever taken on at my high school as well.

Once again, thanks to all of you guys that post on here because you have helped me more times than i can remember!
