I keep seeing people mention using Subaru fuel pumps, but from what year/model subaru?

My sending unit doesn't work and I cant fix it (resistor wire broke, and its too thin to solder) so I need to find something that I can make work.

Took a stroll through the local junkyard, and found what looks to be the same sending unit from a '82 Toyota Pickup.

Hopefully all goes well when I try to switch it over to my tank since mine has a pump on the bottom, and this one does not. And they also have different cap pieces that screw to the tank.
