okay so i was putting my motor back together and i have no clue where the fuel filter goes and where the lines hook up any help would be very appreciative 91 22re if that helps also how does the bottom radiator hose hook up thanks
The fuel filter that on the motor is a bitch lol...if your looking down at the engine from the front of the truck (Im assuming its in) it will be located on the left side under the EFI intake manifold. Its easier taking it off from the bottom on the engine cause its close to the oilpan.
well no its not on the truck the whole motor was apart when i bought the truck and now im putting everything back together and i don't know where that mounts or where it hooks up to
if you take the starter off it should make it alot easier and what do you mean by the lower rad hose, show some pictures should make it easier for us to understand what you mean!, good luck with the fuel filter and DON'T forget the 2 washers at the banjo bolts(one on each side of the line) Phil
read this on how to relocate your fuel filter, to make it easier to get to. http://www.celica-gts.com/resources/how-to/fuel_filter.html
when i got my 4x4 my friend said "its got a new fuel filter, but its not where it should be". i told him i was gunna put it where it belonged. after putting it where it belonged i realize why he didn't do it!
dude fuel filters are a major P.I.T.A. I replaced my not to long ago, actually took the passenger side tire off and was able to get to it
i would imagine napa would have them, assuming there is a napa near you. maybe the cheaper parts stores would have them but not too sure.
i went to all 3 parts stores in my town and they said they never seen them for fuel lines lol also i need some for the the ones that go from the intake manifold to the fuel rail since they are a one time use only item cause i have only the old ones which were napa, carquest and oreilly's
they should come with a new filter. i checked napa's site they range from $9-$30 depending on brand. the dealer would probably have them as well, and couldn't be too exspensive. i honestly re-used the ones on my 4x4, but they do leak a bit.
ill try old ones first cause i am really close to getting this thing together so i can hear it run the guy i bought it from said it just needed to be put back together and it runs excellent also the truck only has 55,000 miles so im hoping it runs good if not im going to run a v8 in it.
