Free 5 speed trans 84-88 trucks. Local pick up, Burbank, CA

    Used Toyota truck 5 speed transmission for 1984-1988 trucks equipped with 22RE engine. Includes gearshift lever, knob and rubber boot. Pops out of 3rd gear according to previous owner. Local pick up only, Burbank, CA.

    So tempting... tempting...

    It would be nice to have a transmission to rebuild before taking mine out of my truck (my first gear feels "wonky" but it still works)...

    Unfortunately, I don't have a place to keep it or work on it...

    But...

    So tempting...

    On the truck's build plate. Transmissions themselves aren't labeled that I've ever seen (thanks a bunch toyota:verdict_in:)

    He-he...and I don't have that truck! Judging by the appearance and my email from the original seller I think my description of the year is accurate. OBTW - I think the shift tower cover is installed backward I noticed.

    No the tower is mounted right. Thats a great deal no matter what W trans it is.

    In the OP, it said equipped with a RE engine. Will this fit in a truck with a 22r?

    Thats actually a 89-95 trans. The shifter it mounted more forward than on the older ones. Where the shifter goes through the floor might need some work to make it fit. I know my 86 trans into my 91 did
