I say give him 400 bucks for it as it looks like it hasn't moved in awhile, junk in the bed, etc. or tell him to give you 50 bucks to haul it away and start working on your new truck.

its ran into something and the tie rod is bent, smacked both fenders on something.

sitting with a load like that can F the springs and prolly has, but softer is sometimes better with these trucks.

looks kinda orange under there, id check for rust on the frame.

eng is most likely covered in oil

looks like she was rode hard and put away wet

i would offer $300 and go from there, and point out every thing wrong with it. but wouldnt pay a dime over $400 if i couldnt drive it home

    give me $50? lol

It is exactly 3-4 minutes away from my house if you were to drive out of my neighborhood, drive down the road, stop at the 4 way stop sign, and then go straight til another 4 way stop, then drive for 30 seconds and take a left and there is the truck. it's on a 2 laned road so i wouldnt recommend myself to push it.
plan 1 - if it doesnt start, ask seller if i may work on it to have it start and drive home. this may probably have me install plugs and do an on the spot oil change. maybe tinker around to have it run well so i dont eff anything on the way home. this guy has a black 300ZX (right next to truck) and a bunch of other stuff laying around. there was this mixed dog barkin at me as i took these fresh pictures. im sure he still lives there haha

plan 2 - if it starts, drive home.. hopefully

plan 3 - if it doesn't start and owner doesn't let me fix on spot, have a friend go with me so i can put a strap on the front on the front of the truck and put the 4wd truck into neutral and take my truck and slowly tug this thing away... just need a friend SMART enough

plan 4 - get money and then choose options 1, 2, or 3.

=] word, gota start with plan 4, go with 1 2 or 3, then come up with a b and c

so $300 is a good price?

best idea yet, pay as little as you can for it, and have a tow truck pull it to your house, why would you risk wrecking your truck, both new and old, getting a ticket for no tag reg or insurence on it- it is on the rode ya know, and on top of that another ticket for towing it illegaly...

also why do you like rams ? lol one of the most boring and slowest trucks ive ridden in. except for the f150 its a bit slower lol

Nice find! I'd ask about the history as to why it's sitting there first. You could easily dump a good chunk of change if the frame/engien/drivetrain was beatdown...

I'm betting the transmission is shot or head gasket failure!

As it stands tho it'll make a good parts truck for $250 bones... Oh yeah, if your plans is to beat it up off road, sell me the rear fender flares!

those springs should have a bit more arch, but that weight in the back is why they are flat. may or may not come back with the crap gone.

seriously doubt the tranny or T case is dead. i have beaten the living piss out of mine and it still works fine, my 3rd body is WAY more beat up then that truck to give you a idea. in fact i did this last weekend dropping the clutch in a rock garden

im voting for "ran when parked" bet it has a stock carb, with 2million miles of semi functional vac lines and random pieced together emissions stuff made from expired juice boxes.

your truck should be able to tow it home as is no prob. with a bill of sale and the lil distance, no cop would give you a ticket unless you were being exceptionally dumb.

the owner kinda looks on the lazy side, maybe offer to do some work around his place picking up stuff for it. its worked for me in the past, and im in the middle of working that kinda deal right now.

oh yea, if the guy says no...

wait till his wife gets home then ask her about the truck. 1 week of sleepin on the couch and he'll sell it to ya :D
