How the hell can i connect my computer to my TV? The tv has HDMI inputs, 1 USB port, RCA, and S video cables. And my computer only has USB ports. Would a USB to USB connection work?
Easy answer get a video card with HDMI output. (example Micro Center - Sapphire Technology 100291DDR3L ATi Radeon HD 5450 512MB DDR3 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card 100291DDR3L) really crappy but cheaper get a converter box (around $40) to change pci/dvi(monitor output) down to s/rca all in all Personal push for you is to go with a new video card.
Would i be able to switch between the monitor and TV? Cuz i dont plan on using the TV as the monitor ALL the time
Hows the clarity with the video card? Mine doesnt have the PC input. Wish it did. Ima get a wireless keyboard and mouse n hook up the tv to the comp. Its guna be an investment so its guna take a while
I recently hooked up my desktop to my tv. Now I just need a video card to do 16:9 instead of 4:3 ratio. I mainly use my desktop for music and pics. We use the laptop for eveything else.
Yes , switching back and forth is seamless plug it in and go kinda thing. Regarding the clarity question, with the adapter kinda crap, with the video card its basically a big monitor now.
Geek squad at Best Buy will do it pretty cheap even if you didnt buy the comp from Best buy. If you buy the video card and an extended warranty from Best buy they will usually do install really cheap.
I have used the "box" before (comp2s-vid) HELLA CRAP!!!!!!! dont waste the time get the card.... good luck ....
I dont wana void the warranty on my computer tho. Got it no more than 5 months ago so its still practically new
I'm quoting this because they will not void your warranty... Technically anybody with an a+ cert will not void that.
Well then if thats the case ima look more into it. I just dont wana mess up something thats perfectly good u kno?
build yourself a HTPC (home theatre pc)!! and installing a video card is as simple as plugging it in, dont go to best buy for that, if your PC is fairly new you should already have an open PCI-express slot, all you gotta do is plug it in, and then load any software/driver it came with
