So, my flywheel decided to shear the bolts connecting it to the crankshaft... Anyone have a 22r or 22re with 5 speed? She's my only rig, and I need something asap. Any help would be appreciated.

A machine shop should be able to get the broken bolts out cheap. I broke two of the six holding my flywheel to clutch. Seems to still work lol

The holes are pretty warbled out, and would need both the crank and flywheel surfaced as well, tried to post a pic but it's a pain from my phone. If i'm gonna go through all that effort I'll just put a new motor/Trans. Saves time. Gotta get to work on Monday

You could also swap flywheel and crank. 20 and 22r have the same crank. Might be a cheaper fix. But a running donor motor is the easiest swap with how simple these motors come out. One afternoon could have it fixed.

So, the 22re isn't going to work out. Incomplete/wrong harness and couldn't locate a carb intake. Good news is I got aholdof a 22r with 0 miles. Should be up and running again tomorrow. If any anyone is interested the re will be for sale. more info later. Also I'll get around to a build thread if I can get some more internet and hop on my computer.

Good deal. A carbed 22r is plenty. Works great for my 78.

I never keep them personally. I only run 20R heads and intakes. Way better flow.
