    i hear that!!!! i had it not to long ago.. i couldn't close my eyes to go to sleep then when i finally did i couldn't open them lol

    Ya my buddy had it hella bad like 2 weeks ago where he cudnt see he was like blind for half a day an they gave him some perscription eye drops so he let me borrow them an a few potatoes

    Ya it was from welding. I took my helmet off for a minute to see something an I was pullin the gun away an pulled the trigger an it started welding an bam! Next morning flash burn like no other

    yeah.. i have those welding moments about not having the lens down when i accidentally strike the stick against the metal.... sigh


    but i havent had the flash burn yet (thank God)

    Ya it sucked but it's 100 times better now than this morning a little peeled up potatoe an those drops did it

    I guess there's somethin in it tht helps fight infection or something. My buddies dad is a welder an has been using the potatoe method for like 30 years

    O I just googled it the stratch in the potato helps draw ou the nasty stuff tht has become a depoist in the eye

    O ya I read no on the visine. I used something else that was prescribed for flash burn

    lol ya first time i got flash burn i figured visine would sooth it , boy was i freaking wrong lol o it made it 10000000xs worse lol

    I've heard that washing your eyes with milk also helps... It might be an old Guam folklore but, I will try it when it does happen to me... :looney:

    What has always worked for me is wearing a damn welding mask. :lol:

    Weird that I haven't. They always told me blue eyes are more sensitive to the light. I've lucked out so far.

    Ive had ol'sand eye many times and the spuds are the ticket

    Ive gotten it more from the reflection of the guy's behind me arc in my lense

    and I dont know about the milk in the eyes deal but I know if your welding on galvanized metal you drink milk to remove the zinc that builds up in your blood system because it all ends up in your balls.

    kinda a differant take on balls of steel

    I think that's it regarding the milk thing... It's a good thing I haven't been welding lately, my wife and kids would trip out if they saw me washing my eyes with milk! :ROFL::ROFL:

    I was welding with my helmet on an I was in a weird position so I tookit off an tried to pull my arm out an pulled the trigger on accident. An I have blue eyes but never heard the blue eyes being more sensitive to light
