Hey folks, I just purschased (two days ago) my 1990 regular cab 4x4. I am new to the site and there are probably search features that may answer this question, but I'm still learning the site. Hopefully a simple question.... My bench seat is looking a little worn and I was wondering if I found bucket seats from a 89-95 (truck or 4runner) if they just simply bolt right in. Also, would a 60/40 seat work in my 90 model if I can't find buckets. Finally, if I found some buckets what do most folks do for the center section between the two seats, do they make a console that fills the gap? Does anyone have any pictures of the interior where you have made a seat conversion. Thanks, Randy
Yes. Also do a search. Many people have done the swap and have done writeups about it. Pretty much anything will fit, with a degree of slight modification.
The 60/40 out my 94 will not direct bolt into my 91 however my 95 4 runner seats directly bolted into my 91 or you can always use stock brackets if you can find them and adapt to any seat also whatever center console you want to use just make sure section for shifter is relatively in same area just a few measurements and hit up a junk yard but yah a ton of use have done it if you can find the fyi for sale or parts soon thread that's my truck with the runner seats in it
ive just put bucket seats from a mazda protege in my mini simply cuz i got them free. huge difference in comfort and stability over the bench seats. and like NAM said all i had to do was make 2 brakets for each seat and drill a few holes
