Here's some shots I took this morning out at the lake near my house. This is exactly how I brought it home, with the exception of tires. I HAD to throw a set on it, 2 had wires showing, and one was worn down to the air. They were mis-matched white walls. I haven't cleaned it at all yet. This is what I'm starting with.... Sometime...I'll post a photochop of what it should look like when complete, and the list of parts (that I KNOW) will be going in/on it. For now, though...I'm gonna work on removing the "old man" from it, and getting it mechanically sound enough to drive everyday. Expect something different from this truck in the future......
Yep its a truck alright. mine was all super grandpa before I got it. still has that feel to it till I start it
thanks guys! Never fear, I'll be posting pics of everything done to it as it get's done. (within the week, anyway) On the schedule for this weekend: 1. minor weight reduction- mud flaps, and rear bumper are being removed. 2. tune up and carb adjustments,(K&N, removal of hose from airbox to rad support, plugs/wires, oil/filter, bump the idle speed up a couple hundred rpms, and clean that damn sticky choke) 3. removal of some misc underhood items that I feel are hampering the power and fuel economy of the truck. (also weight reduction? lol!) 77yoter, I can't either! I'mma have to wait till spring, though, especially if this winter turns out as bad as LAST winter here! Besides, by then I'll have the money/parts to do a static drop the way I want (no bags for me!).
