Ok so I've had a 1985 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 (sorry, no pictures yet) for about a month and the guy I bought it from cut the fenders to fit 36's on it, and to say the least, he butchered them. It looks okay from a distance but when you get close to it, it's just an eye sore. There is too much fender cut out to cover with fender flares, and I could replace the front ones, but then I have the back ones to worry about. I was just wondering if there was a way to fix them, preferably affordable.

For the rear end if you dont have enough metal to add flares then make it. Just get new sheet metal and make your own quarter panels or atleast what you need inorder to add the fender flares then do that. The front Id replace as you mentioned and add the fender flares to that. Of course adding pics would make this alot easier for all of us to come up with suggestions!!

read up on this thread as the person modding the fenders knows what he is doing. Might be a nice way to clean up your fenders and make them work for you. 4Runner Fender Mods 101 - TTORA Forum
