Well its come down to the point where Im going to start building my rear axle. I just am having a hard time deciding which one. 82 Lowered a little with biggie wheels and tires kinda going for a hot street/handling theme. Theres a F code 3.42 open under it right now. I can get a supra LSD, 4.10 and rebuild kit for about 300 bucks. Theres a 1 ton dually axle (77 chinook) G code and a 4.10 open center in my garage. Again I can get a locker for about 300 bucks. WWJD? The G code is infinitly stronger, but takes a little driveshaft mod. I can and do break unbreakable things... Opinions?
in the long run, i believe the G code would last you a while. and is the G code running the 5lug axle?
this sh*t is confusing.. all i know for now is a lsd drive shaft from a celica supra, with a w58, and a hybrid swap sounds good...
a-holes.... >.>... i found the stupid........ dam did i say drive shaft.... i meant differential... f*k! total fail... wtvr man..... no such thiing as a dam lsd drivveshaft unless you had two driveshafts ¿?.. ever thought about that? lol... win for me... o rigght
They exist bud. Non toyota application. Ive seen one on a VW vanagon syncro. Its basically a lsd coupler on the driveshaft, so front and rear drivelines dont bind up. I think subies had em too, but not positive... http://www.gowesty.com/library_article.php?id=627&print_version=1 They bash yota trucks on here so read it! And Im ending up going on the G code. It has girth axles. I like
Raff~ Wise choice budz! I would argue that it ain't a shaft but, a coupler... I'll save that for pit talk for the next outting! Still @ 22R! It's all good dude, just couldn't help myself on that one....
wtvr... mistake of vocabulary... you know you probably would of made similar mistake, not on the same subject though..
