Hey guys, I'm trying to clean up my engine bay. Going to be putting on a new manifold and paint engine and all that, but these ports in the manifold. What are they for. What is the tube that connects here? Can it be removed? It's there on mine, but I feel it would help appearance if this could be gone.

I believe those are mounting holes for a heating tube that runs behind the motor. It can be removed.

The holes I have circled are actually ports of some kind for that tubing. What I am wondering is can that tubing be removed and make a block off plate for the tubing, or use a manifold that don't have it.

the holes are fed from the top of the pear shape on the exhaust ports on the head. you can use the existing plates just cut the tubes and fold them and weld the end closed.

Yes, they can be deleted. It's for the EGR system. You'll have to delete everything associated with it. I just cut the plates off of the end of the tubes, welded the holes shut, and ground it all smooth.
