Anyone got some good tips on how to pinpoint where you have an exhaust leak? Dye or something?

I have some flutter/ticking when im accelerating, and i think it could be my flanges on the pipes, im thinking of welding the header and muffler together instead of using the flanges....?

I gots no truck, for now
borrow a smoke tester, and start smoking from the tail pipe forward...easiest way, but requires a smoke tester... other then that just use your hand and feel for a leak with it running/reving what ever you do to hear the leak.

That's how I always did it. I've welded up a bunch of exhaust like this. I've never tried any other way.
