Engine, Trans, wiring, fuel system, mounts etc... will be needed. Lots of odds and ends

The swap has been done many times. There are a few here just not sure about anyone documenting it here. Google will be your best friend

Diff should be ok. Id worry about getting it running then change the diff is if it needs it.

of and you may need a new driveshaft

One of the nicest conversions I've seen is a 1gg engine into a Hilux. They are a very small light inline 6 with 180hp standard. They are fitted to Toyota Altezza/Lexus IS 200 Because they are so small there is no need to cut into the firewall or radiator panel.

I want to build a windsor 5.8 for the 5th gen. NWOR has solid mount kits for that and many company's offer adapter plates for your gearbox of choice. Sky really is the limit!
