engine sounds like a lawnmower.

    any ideas on why? the other day i noticed my truck starting to sound louder and more like a lawnmower. go kart while i accelerate.

    could you be more...precise? a decent sound clip might help too.

    probably your muffler or exhaust pipe is starting to rust though or an exhaust gasket leaking.

    Sounds like my power steering pump is going raw though......after leaking or should i say pouring fluid for a few months.

    Did you check underneath to see if someone had installed a PTO and a belly mower?

    I know slight exhaust leaks towards the engine somewhere along the front pipe or exhaust manifold, those will sound like ticking under acceleration.

    Might be the collector to exhaust pipe thats were my last exhaust leak is coming from if u have a smoke machine you can pin point the location of leak

    My manifold gasket went bad slowly and gave me a pestering tick. In between the manifold and the head. Changed it and it's gone...
