I've had my truck for about a year now and its been hellish. thers been some good times but mostly....hell. 4 days after i bought it my injectors clog up. so i have it towed to a shop to get it fixed at previous owner expense. this happens 2 more times before the sorry bastards finally get it goin right. 5 to 6 months later my so called "bullet proof" 22re begins throwing another fit. it begins cutting in and out as i drive back and forth to work, until finally it gives out and leaves me stranded on the side of the hwy. towed to a different shop and had the o2 sensor replaced along with a couple vac leaks i understand. fastfoward to present day (bout 3 or 4 mo) and my truck dies when it is warmed up and is now burning a fair amount of oil, smokin out everywhere i go. I would also add 130k when i got it and 145k now.

So I will be lookin for canidates that will be replacing my old motor. they include japan engines brand new 22re, or the various ebay rebuilt motors. Now if anyone has any info on these two or as found another place that they are happy with(or not) I would love to hear about it. I've been intrested in a hybrid swap, a motor from another make or model that is. info on either this or that will be very helpfull thanx for reading.

make sure if you get it off ebay, that the seller has a good rep. or just do a jz swap. or get a complete high performance built 22re or 22rte.
