To all of y'all out there running e-fans, what do you use to control the temperature?

I have one of those adjustable controllers with the probe that gets tied to the radiator. Not the most accurate but it works. I'll be switching to a relay with a sensor type switch thing pretty soon

I use the spale relay kit. You have to tap a port to 3/8ths npt unless you find a sensor that is the Japanese thread. Also a fan switch isn't bad to have.

I have had mine hooked up to a manual switch for a while because I hate the idea of pushing a probe into my radiator. for the sender type, where do you put that in? i have seen thermostat housings with a bung on them, but sensing temp after the thermostat seems a lil backwards.

The probe kit i got has the probe like zip tied to the backside of the radiator fins. (Not actual zip ties)

I'm not sure on a RE where you would put your sender. You can get fittings that you would cut the radiator hose and put inline. Not the cleanest though. Not 100% sure but I think the bigger ports are 1/2" npt and you could adapt it to the 3/8ths with a fitting.

I use a Centech fan control, which you run the engine to the temp. to want the fan to come on than just turn the knob until the fan turns on.
you can set on anywhere you want.
I installed a over ride switch at the dash so I can turn on any time, & do so coming off the freeway or when in traffic
    The part # FC-2P

I was just looking at the Centech unit, am I to understand that it just splices into the gauge signal wire?
