I'd get one but I hear the AMF just hangs.

    Is this true?

But, the air suction sound would be pretty mean.

The point of any intake is to get colder air into the intake manifold to increase power. Ive installed a few of those Ebay kits on some friends trucks & they haven't had any problems. If you look real closely in the pic on that auction youll see a thin metal strip. Thats what you use to support the end of the intake...its bendable so you can mount it on the intake, then bolt it to the radiator support anywhere.

Have you thought of doing an intake/battery swap? I did it on my 94 yota & saw the difference right away. just a thought

I found an K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit for my V6 4Runner for a little over 100 bucks. The great thing about these is THEY ARE SMOG LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA. The kit lets you get rid of the original bulky air box and comes with brackets to remount the air flow sensor. The truck sounds great and the motor gets more air!

Do you have a link for the one you bought? I'm also looking for one.
