I ordered a new waterpump from LCE and failed to realize I have an early 20r, and the replacement waterpump I purchased is not exactly the same. As many of you probably already know it has one extra mounting hole which I cannot use on this engine. What are my options? Can I safely use this waterpump on my engine and close up the hole some how? Bolt, JB weld, etc?

The old one wasn't failing but since I'm replacing a bunch of stuff in the engine bay already I figured this would be a great time to swap out the WP as well.

    Thanks

What does LCE say? I've seen reference to this online before, just haven't seen it in person. If I couldn't find one I'd likely tap the hole and put in a bolt/plug with some sealant to seal it up.

They didn't have any suggestions on how I could modify the waterpump. I might look into just taping the hole and getting a bolt in there.
