Looking to Dynomatt, or whatever name brand my interior. What has anybody done, what works the best? Has anyone done the roof, and was it worth it?

I did my Explorer and I can say it is really worth it. I stripped out the entire interior and prepped by giving it a good scrubbing and rinse with soap and water, then acetone (I think thats the name) then scrubbed with green pads to scuff the paint, then another acetone scrubbing. I then laid down a couple layers of Herculiner over the entire interior as well as the doors and back hatch, making sure to leave the drains at the bottom of the doors open. Then I went in and filled all the open spaces (Braces, ect.) with spray foam and followed up with two layers of dynamat extreme over the entire interior and inside the doors as well as the interior panel of the door (right under the door panels.) The whole idea of the herculiner was that it would offer an additional layer of rust protection, but I found that the rough surface it added was excelent for helping the dynamat adhere to the surface. Yes, I did do the entire roof and it worked well. Really cut down on the road noise, the stereo seemed to sound much better and it even made the heat and A/C seem to work better as well. Its expensive, But I recommend it. For the truck, I think I'm going to try Lizard Skin on the cab, both the heat and sound deadening spray instead of the herculiner. If its ok, I'll leave it at that, but if not, I can always go back and add dynamat later. I hope that helps. I can try and find the pics I have of the Explorer torn down and the application process if anyone is interested or needs advice.
