So I finally had time to myself this morning and put the roach on a dyno @ p-tunning in manassas,va. They did 3 pulls and afr for $75.Motor is a 22re for reference My engine mods are .40 over, intake, header w/ full exhuast. So got a baseline b/c I have a lot of parts that I have been sitting on for over a year. Got a whole top end setup. I will be slowly working on this but with work and life could take longer. But onto the results. Will post photos later. Hp: 102.4 Ft lbs: 124en Not to bad I think. This is to the wheels numbers. I would like to see 125ish when done. The point of this build is power, durable, fuel eco. Right not I get about 28-30 so I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too. More later.
Ok so took me longer then I said but here are the graphs HP/TRQ HP w/AFR So I have some tuning to do. Im getting a wideband and once I get my top end built I will tune and re dyno. I hope to have this done by March(ish).
No video?! Geez I don't even want to know what my stock 22re is putting out if you have all those mods, probably somewhere in the high 80s haha well maybe 90s just remembered when I rebuilt it, it is now .30 over with open air filter and Dynomax muffler My bike pulled 170 to the wheels! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qImas2tcMP0 how the fck do you embed youtube videos?
THANK GOD YOU HAVE A DYNO OF A NATURALLY ASPIRATED 22RE that's not too modified. I just wish someone had a dyno chart of a healthy stock 22RE. If I'm going WOT, I'll shift at 4800RPM, seems to be the right point. gives me a good idea what the trucks can do. AFR's seem to be quite lean down low, i think it's normal though?
When I rebuilt the motor 20xxxx miles ago I never tuned it and it has been good to me. After this run I run lean to start then is starts to get rich so I'm hoping the new ported head with cam and cam gear and a few other tricks I have planed with make more power and fix my afr numbers. If I had been on a dyno jet my numbers would be 12% higher. I'm happy though that I had this done to serve as a reference. Btw I'm in northern va so do think I'm to high above sea level.
Very nice numbers. Cant tell you how many cold air, and exhaust civics ive seen on the dyno not even do 75. The people are always let down.
Raffaelli do have any tips for tuning? I know a wideband helps but thinking about getting a split second maf to help.
Are you using stock AFM?? I'm not sure how NA motors are supposed to be, but with the AFR's i'm so confused whether it's normal or just because it's OBD1 Toyota 22RE EFI lol
>>>*Howdy. Thanks for referring me to this forum, looks like a good bunch. I got your email, thanks for the link. Those numbers actually look very good to me, about as good as we ever hit with any of our testing. Of course, now it's been well over 15 years since we did any dyno runs and the equipment we had can best be described as....well...old like me...*LOL**. I am interested in this one, you are doing very well with your project so far....*EB
