Went to meet a friend and my button broke on the latch, too bad I was sitting in the seat when I found out it would not let me unlatch it lol. She was trying to help me out of the truck, I just slid it over me and corkscrewed my way out, due to nerve damage, this was not fun but at least I got her to laugh about it. So, any body got a latch? the belt retracts and all works fine, just the latch just got stuck, with the broken button holding the belt in place. My truck is an 83' SR5 with buckets, up in Victorville, older disabled guy needs a little help, if someone is close and has the part, how much to install it ?, as my hands don't work anymore, or a rear slider for trade? (or a few other parts), I had the back window replaced with a smoked slider.
I'd just buy the buckle/latch off eBay or a used parts site or from a salvage yard. I'm sure a forum member down near you wouldn't mind helping you wrench and install new seat belt buckle. I'd help but I'm a few hundred miles away sorry
Thanks Perkolator, Yep, I have a parts request out for the part at a few places, possibles here and there. Got a few options to look at when more funds come in...I'm getting old when a $1.95 part is $50-$65 now lol. My neighbor out here in the desert will do it, I had given him my breaker bar and some tools anyway since my hands quit. Also know I'm getting old when my complete spare rear end, springs, driveshaft and cables etc. hidden in bushes on my 5 acres go missing a bit ago and I did not catch on until today.
