Can I get away with 6 1/2" door speakers in the stock panels?

You can, but if you dont have the small wing windows you have to run a spacer of some kind or the speaker magnet can hit the glass or window track.
Either way, you have to put the speaker far enough forward and down or the window crank handle will hit it when you operate the window.

    I ran 6.5s on mine with a 3/4" spacer.

That's some nice work there Litneon. That's an interesting idea but I'm no fiberglass man. Guess it don't hurt to try ha ha. I think for now I'll just use a spacer. Thanks guys for the help.:waytogo:

Litneon, those are amazing looking. So cool to see the wood frame of the pod.

You have anymore pics of like the speaker rings and such before you put it all together. I'm pretty handy with a saw and have laid fiberglass before I may just make these my summer project.

I can't remember, I think there were more pics of them in my build thread. I'm no fiberglass guy either. I've learned all of these skills as I've built the truck (for the most part).
