When I purchased my 87 yota, there was no bulb in the dome light. The local parts store had 2 different numbers. The one they had in stock wasn't right. The other number was 12100, but I cant find it anywhere. Can anyone help me out? what is the correct bulb part #? Thanks Trey
Lol had the same problem. I'm tempted to throw a Christmas light bulb in there. My local napa gave me a huge bulb but it in no way wouldve fit my truck. So I gave it to my dad for his s10 lol
surely, out of all these trucks, somebody knows the bulb number? I'm tired of trying to find stuff in the dark! HELP!!! lol Trey
Dealer part bro. They had to go through 6 bulbs to find the correct one. For some reason there is different bulbs for almost every trim even if same year. You have to get down to the details to get the correct bulb off the bat. If you go to dealer you need to tell them year, trim (engine and assecories) You wouldnt think youd have to but yah like I said they had 6 bulbs for my truck alone only one works
At least your switch works lol, mine sometimes works when sticking my finger in it lmao (no dome cover), seen a million or so bulbs on ebay, I would like to find a clean switch and dome cover for my '83. Have you had a chance to take measurements? diameter and cap style, any markings on the end caps?
sorry dont know the part number but got this one at autozone 7 or 8 years ago for my 86 and its worked great. only markings on the case are 12v 10w.
PUTCO has a replacement LED circuit board dome light that comes with "dummy" lights to fit different vehicles. The dummy light has no filament in it and has 2 small wires with a plug that attaches to the LED panel. The correct dummy light was in the package for my '87 pickup and they are EXTREMELY bright. There are several different sizes of LED light boards depending on how much room you have behind your dome light lens. I use the 8 LED panel. The part number is #980111 and the cost should be right around $15.
