I just found out my truck has a hole in the block. It is a 93 single cab. with a 22-re/5speed. Now are all 22r blocks the same or do I need to find a 22-re block. Any info on blocks/engine/or what I should do to it since it is out is greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance Anarchy Joe
im pretty sure that the blocks from 85-95 are the same http://www.lcengineering.com/TechNotes/TechNote48.htm
It does not make a difference if it is carbureted or fuel injected. The only difference would be the intake and other small stuff but you are going to reused your old stuff anyways. Make sure the replacement engine has the correct head on it. Some people replace the heads and do not even know the differences. The exhaust ports will be pear shaped. James
My cousin's friend had an 86 4x4 with a bullet holes in it, these things were so well built, they'll run centuries after we die, if maintained properly of course.
