    VW 1.9 or 4BT

Both respond much better to mods and actually have some ass to em.

The 4bt doesn't have many performance parts for it though an doesn't make alot of power yet the power to weight ratio for tht motor an these trucks it wouldfeel like alot

im just gonna make it a cruiser. i might hop it up later. all i can do to it though is put a bigger turbo and bigger injectors on. should be an easy swap though

The 4BT shares some of the same performance tricks., i.e. modding the pump, injectors, etc as its bigger brother the 6B series engine found in the earlier Dodges. Though at a hefty weight of 750 lbs dry....the front of the mini may object without some serious work.
