Does anybody run this cam on their 22re? I called crower and they said this cam can be ran on stock valve train the only thing recommended is header and exhaust.. Is this true ? Is it worth getting? (Don't have the money for LCE) all I'm looking for is bump in performance thanks

I've tried searching this forum already....

Ok, Yes this is about the max lift you can run on stock springs.

The other half of that is that the stock springs tend to allow valve float starting around 5500-5700 rpms. So getting a powerband that is any higher than 6000 is a waste of powerband.

Then, on top of that, you won't see noticeable power increases without improving the intake and exhaust flow. The cam effectively increases volumetric efficiency, so to make use of it, you have to at a minimum increase the scavenging of the exhaust, and preferably open up the intake a bit so that air is available.

This is why LC sells an EFI performer package. It's pricey, but if you want to cover your bases, it's the way to go.

    EFI Power Package - 22RE (89-95)

LC's out there for a reason. By the time you piece together a kit, you'll have that much in it.

I went with the engbldr 270/430. Lots of good reviews, excelent support, pretty much the same specs and cheaper.
