And I have no idea if my truck is a 1ton or 1/2 ton.

Its a 1993 Toyota Pickup 2WD Standard Cab 5sp 22RE.

 

worthless slotted and crossdrilled rotors don't help street cars, can break easily (esepecially ebay crap), and can't be machined later on. If you need new rotors save for the big brake upgrade or get some decent brand regular rotors.

also your truck is a half ton

 

Wrong,if you use a good grade drilled /slotted rotor ,they won't crack with street use,can be turned when needed,& will reduce heat & gassing,giving better braking!!

 

alright I did some research and I was misinformed......


I still say save for the big brakes or just get high quality regular rotors.

 

if your going to bother upgrading do a bigger brake kit.

I still have some adapters left to run wilwood 12.19 rotors, and 4wd 4 piston brake calipers... $75 shipped...

yes this is a shameless attempt to sell more of my adapters... really just trying to get my investment back... I make less than $10 off a pair....

Yeah. I would love to do that, but I am having a hard time finding a set of 4WD 4 piston calipers...

Got mine off e-bay, $160 with shipping & core charge,pads from auto supply ,around $45,also got fitting to go from female to female metric.

 

whats the smallest rim you can run with the bigger brake swap?
and yes, i know of the other thread about the brake swap but i dont want to look threw it all for just one answer.

 

I believe some guys ran 16inch rims... but am not sure... I know from personal experience 17's are good for sure...

I got mine for a steal on ebay cause they were sold as t100 calipers which are the same (believe it has to be a 4wd t100 tho...) Ebay is the place to get them cheap... just keep looking and a good deal will show up...
