I have a 22RET, and the steel coolant pipe that wraps around the driver's side motor mount is starting to pinhole and leak. As this is a turbo truck, I can't find any replacements. I was wondering if is important for that piping to route down and around the whole driver's side of the engine, or whether I can just route it forward and directly back to the radiator's bottom port (with a bung for the heater hose of course). I no longer have the stock fan clutch, so there is nothing in the way there.
