ok so I got a 74 RN20 Hilux off a mate of mine for a few parts he needed for his Hilux ute. it was a farm car before I got my hands on it so its a bit rough but not that bad it has a 12R engine so the first thing I did was get the head rebuilt to run the unleaded petrol that cost me 2X cartons of beer so not to bad of a deal. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=12873&stc=1&d=1427708151

so next I went about making my list of things to get and to do so that's a big list as I sat there marking out what needs to be fixed and what's getting removed or replaced. so over the next few days I spent removing the stuff I as not going to need like towbar (ect)...... http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/at...ent.php?attachmentid=12875&stc=1&d=1427708748

I know its not pretty now but the plans I have will bring it into the new ages with some hi tech toys.

so last night I was getting the stuff together for my audio set up and getting where it should be mounted. I'm going to run one of my old tablets that's going to run GPS, audio and a bunch of different things once its all cut to shape it will be fiberglass into place. I also spent a bit of time working out what I should do to the tray and I'm thinking of redoing the wood in a solid bamboo.

This will be a sweet truck once you get it done. Looking forward to see the end product.

Looks like a nice color. Is that a reproduction hood?

    Thanks guys.
Yes it is a reproduction hood it fit well but the hoop on it that latches onto the bonnet was to short so I had to make it longer so it would shut better. I won't be painting the engine bay till last as I don't know if I'll keep the stock engine in or do a swap for more power.
