If you have any cold winters or are not using a choke here is the solution. For about $25.00 and an hours time this in line water heater is the "Bomb"! Plug it in at night (*any 12 volt outlet*) and in the morning it'll fire and start on the first spin! I'm absolutely sold on these little gems. And, another option if you are racing your engine and want to pre-heat it a bit before staring time just plug it in and in a few minutes your ready to go!

Does it also move the water or only heat? (desil application?)

Heats the water / anti-freeze which than rises to displace colder.

Purchased at "NAPA" but, most all auto parts stores have them, just make sure to get a good quality one that has a sealed casing. I guarantee you'll not be dissatisfied!

Up here in Canada we have block heaters installed right from the factory. I'm not sure if you're aware of them at all. They are a looped rod attached to a frost plug. The frost plug is bolted in place and then a cord is attached. Plug the cord in and it heats up the antifreeze thus heating the block.

But it's a well known fact up here that Toyotas don't need to be plugged in even in the coldest temps and still fire up. Not good for the engine but lots of people boast about it!
