Clutches??

    ok 2wd truck, slightly modified, dropped and i do aggresive driving every now and then with the occasional burnouts. what kine of clutches are good and does anyone have expereince with particular brands of clutches. and i only high school so yah, no mo' plenty moneyy! haha i was considering stage 2 stage 3 options.

    i currently have a napa gold installed, and it held up pretty good lol!!

    I agree with 808 in the 208, Centerforce. i had one of thier HD dual fiber its jst a fancy name for a stage2. i beat the crap out of it with a 600 horse bbc and a spool everyday for two years and no problems. the guy i sold it to is still running it.

    Lots of brands to choose from... Just be sure to get one based on how much torque you plan to make.

    I currently have installed a clutch from Competition Clutch, using their 1620 model :D

    What about ACT they got like 5 types from full disk to a 3 puck unsprung disk:confused:

    nah if anything i going go with a 6 puck sprung. and a stock flywheel weight setup. i like how the stock flywheel feels thats y.

    i have a 9lb lc flywheel and a centerforce dual friction clutch.

    As far as performance is concerned, it revs super fast and grabs hard. The only thing I don't like is that the weights chatter when I let off the gas. . Its annoying and I would not buy it again.

    Don't know what bad stuff you heard about LC!
    They know their stuff & build bad ass engines,are very knowledgeable about what they do & Toyota's!
    I run their 9llb. flywheel & Pro stock clutch, they work great!!! :cool:

    yup 9lb flywheel kinda too light..
    i would go with a 12lb not to light not to heavy
    centerforce dualfriction is the ****tz
    i mean i like chirp all gears 1st 2nd 3rd too fourth
    pressure plate that comes with it feels good too

    yah i was thinking about that 12lbs but i think stocky might be nuff for me
