I'm having some issues with my clutch. In order for me to shift gears I have to pretty much put the clutch to the flloor. See I have pretty big feet and once I get the clutch to the floor I'm almost pressing the brake as well. I'm wondering do I just bleed it like I would brakes. Or is there something else I need to do.

1st check if you slave cylinder is leaking fluid if it looks fine, try bleeding it. If you still dont have any clutch Its time to replace your clutch.

let me know if that helps, sam

i dont know how common this is in the 85+ trucks but ive seen it twice.

the clutch pedal bracket cracks or flexes and doesnt give you the full swing of the pedal.

id check to make sure only the pedal is moving when you step on it.

    seen it on a 89 and a 91

also make sure your throw-out fork is on correctly and that the retaining spring/clip is holding the fork on the pivot ball.
