what do some of you guys do to clean up a cylinder head thats been off of a truck.
im mainly trying to get all the carbon, and grease off.

 

that brake cleaner stuff works great. comes in an aerosol can.

 

chemtool and a hard bristle brush while you spray.

 

a machine shop should dip it for you for really cheap, and it gets all the places you cant reach clean...

 

Simple green and pressure washer for the dirt and grease.

 

I just got mine back from the shop and they tanked em but the carbon deposits are still on the combustion chambers, I was thinking carb cleaner or gas and a brush wud work.

It softens up the deposits so its easier to remove
