Change Connecting Rod Bearings.

    What is the easiest way to change the Connecting Rod Bearings?

    im assuming you mean with the block in the truck?? in all honesty, i think its "dooable" but would be worlds easier with the block out of the truck.... just my op. :shrug:

    Seriously easier with the engine out, the last crank I handled was over 30 lbs. and balancing that with the rods and trying to bolt it all back together... not from underneath IMO

    pull the engine out, take off the head and oil pan...
