celica brake master cylinder

    77 sr5 shortbed, 81 shortbed, 90 4x4
    ok so my brake master cylinder is goin out on my 79 celica i already lost my rear brakes i have checked the cylinders in the rear and they are still good
    so my question is does anyone know if i can use the master cylinder off of a 86 4X since one of my buddys has a spare one kickin around and i cant wait tell next week to order the correct one cause this is my dd
    any help or info would be great

    I don't know the answer to your question. But since you have to remove the parts anyways you can all ways try. If it all bolts up and works, let us know!!!

    How do you think we know which master cylinder's work?? Someone tried and said yes or no. You can be the 1st, then we can call it the YOTER mod. :waytogo::lol::clapping::evil::shrug:

    ya it will bolt up just fine. might have to rebend the lines to it.


    brake bias may be a bit off in the rear, but the celica proportioning valve should take care of it.
