I'm going to have to go with a no on that one. I was having a hard time finding a fiberglass one a few years ago.

I wouldn't bother trying to save weight by swapping hood material. A Toyota hood is like 25 lbs. could reskin it with aluminum. Carbon fiber would at minimum have to be a custom order from an existing fiberglass hood company. Otherwise it'll be totally one off. I sure would like a carbon hilux hood tho :p

My buddy Scott had a carbon fiber hood made for his. Looked sweet taped off a graphic on the hood so you could see the carbon. Not sure how much it cost
    but it was years ago.

truck was totaled years ago. But I remember it had the metal skin removed and carbon laid
out over the stock hood bracing with the bubble for clearance. It was done at "The Shop" here
In florida (closed down) that's about all the pics I have from the Internet. Was featured in MT back in 05.

yea I miss cruising with our almost twin trucks haha, truck was rear ended a few times. his hood was sweet and something different. I like having a stock hood (no bubble) but stock hood in CF would be nice to have.

I guess that would depend on the specifics of the hood. Would it be a skin or a ready to bolt on unit?
Would it use the original hardware? (hinges, latch, ect.)
What would be the estimated weight?
Would it be prepped for primer and paint or could it be installed "naked" or both?
Would it allow for extra clearance or be stock looking? Theres a lot of questions to be answered and I imagine each member would be looking for something different. It might be hard to get a group order going under those circumstances.
For example, the "bulbous nose" look that the truck with the carbon hood had isn't to my tastes, but many on here thought it looked nice. So if a group buy was suggested on a hood like that, I would probably pass on it.
    Just some thoughts.

Unless you rock the hood bare I can't see the point. Like why paint a carbon fiber hood on a pickup truck? Run a glass or metal one.

Id rock a naked carbon hood on anything tho. :D

but if we can get 10 peeps to jump aboard this could happen since know one makes one.

and that is a big selling point to whom ever makes it
