have 1980 sr5 truck 20r stock carb my issue is i pump the accelerater by hand looking down both barrels i see fuel from first barre only none from secondary one is this normal. truck surges once or twice after letting off accelerater also small not loud pop from tailpipe when shifting gears while driving was thinking could be the aap

 

Yup replace your app diphram .. Or go for a full rebuild .
It will eventually be a giant backfire if left to worsen .and can result in valve damage or a blown muffler or cat

 

well i solved the problem with my truck come to find out it was a fuse for the fuel shutoff on the carburetor runs like a scolded dog now something that simple gave me a headache
