go with a viper alarm, you'll spend extra money, but way worth it

I agree with 93. If you want to keep your stuff safe buy a good alarm upfront so viper or Clifford. They even make ones with a pager system so your in class someone breaks window your remote starts going off. These ones from ebay work but I've kicked doors broken windows on alarmed cars with cheap setups that was a long time ago maybe they've gotten better cause most the time they wouldn't go off

I just bought the same one. I know this is a thread from 2 years ago but I am having trouble connecting the dome light supervision. I open the door and the alarm does not go off. What type of alarm is that. I bought a relay and nothing changed besides I blew my dome light fuse.
If anyone can help with that that would be cool. I messaged the seller because I want to return it because it sucks. but of course he never got back to me.

Dome light supervision wont work if you switch isint set to door. I never use that feature. Better to go to the door pin circuits individually with diodes. Thats the way I always do it.

I have used Crime Guard alarms for a lot of years, around $160, & as good as any of the $400-$600 ones!
Made in the USA, life time warranty, rolls the code if senses being scanned, all the features as others! Buy through Crunchfeild & if you have a install problem they can & do know the fix!!
    You won't be sorry!

What I did was wired the hood pin wire directly to the door switch and it works like a charm. but only if the driver side door is opened. lol. I am going to exchange the shock sensor and broken remote. I am also going to get one of those proximity/microwave/RF interrupter type sensors. I had one on my corolla and it worked great. you come within a foot of my car and it gives a 3 chirp warning. It sounds like I am approaching the vehicle. Then when you stick your hand through the window the alarm goes off. I used to leave my windows down all the time. I might do the power window kit. The alarm i got is awesome for the price though. I approach the car and the alarm turns off and the doors unlock. I leave my car and the alarm arms itself and locks the doors. Love it. now I have to get the remote start working. lol
