The truck's an 85. I don't know what the grille came off of other than a 4runner. The bumper is another mystery. It was supposed to be a 4runner also, but don't know the year. Do I need 4wd fenders to work with that bumper? Clearly the grille was never meant to fit this truck. I will probably try to get a refund for the grille, but I'd like to make the bumper work. Any suggestions? Please don't laugh at me too hard. I was just trying to mock it up to see what fit and what didn't.

    Dangit...pics still came out sideways.

grille is 92-95 4runner. pretty sure bumper is the same.

if you're willing to do the work the whole assembly looks really good on a 84-88

I'm willing, I just thought I'd bought the wrong parts. Was just about to gear up to do another sheetmetal front-end like on my race truck. Let me know how I can fix this mess please.

The bumper is a 89-92 4x4 pickup/4runner. Grill is 92-95. I know grant makes brakets to fit the bumper to you year truck the correct way. The 4x4 fenders for your year range would help with the bumper to fender gap. And the fitting the grill is just a matter or cut and trim to fit. If your a welder i know you can do it.

I just drove all over town and nobody has a 4wd truck/4runner anywhere. Gonna have to go out of town or order on ebay.

Think I'd just get whats supposed to be there. Cause your gonna need a core support to make the headlights work that are designed for that grille. And the corner lights that attach to that grille won't fit up to the fenders at all...

South Texas is home for me(near the Mexico Border). I think you're right Xs5875. I'm still gonna try to get some 4wd fenders to go with that bumper though. I think I'm gonna do some kind of phantom grille now.

I couldn't find any 4wd fenders in town or the surrounding area, so I just modified this bumper to fit my fenders. I re-cut the inner curve on the edges to hug the corners better. Then I took out 2.25" from the middle and welded it back together, but I might take out another 3/4-1 inch to get the look I'm going for. I know a stock lower valance won't fit, so I'm gonna take a chance and try to make one from sheetmetal or polycarbonate.

This was my first time actually welding something. I've seen stuff like this done on Muscle Car(the TV show) and tried to remember all the little tips and advice they gave.

EDIT: Crap! Pics are still sideways.

Isuzu rodeo valences fit the bumper pretty well. And are plastic. Can be narrowed easily. Looks good so far. Follow how guys put the parts onto 89-95 pickups and mimic them.
