yep open diff aka one tire fire.

their designed to allow you to go around corners easier with less stress on equipment. usually the tire that spins the easiest will, and thats usually the rear passenger tire cuz it gets lifted from the torque of the motor.

you can still make a ton of smoke with one tire tho, even on dirt

If your a multi-tasker you can overcome the one tire fire deal....
First get it to start burning out, while your holding the brake with one foot and the gas pedal with the other, reach down and slowly drag your hand (parking) brake...
The friction of the braking action tricks the differential into a locking position thus, driving both wheels evenly.... It's an old offroading trick...

Another way is to put it in reverse and while your still rolling backwards, put it in first gear, rev it up to about 3-5K rpms and dump the clutch!

Thought you were joking, sorry! Get a Limited Slip differential unit. If you have an 8", you can use one out of a 86.5-92 supra but it takes a little modification to fit. There's a write-up on 4x4wire.com. If you have the 7.5", I believe you can use one out of a 82-86.5 supra, but I've never looked into it. There are a couple of aftermarket LSDs made for both the 7.5" and 8" also. Do a google search for "limited slip" and toyota.

    I'm F series, definitely 7.5"

I've done a two tire fire, it's a matter of luck really... But one night, i did a 1 tire fire... and man.... my truck was covered in smoke... and you can see it come through the vents!!!!!

btw, when you lower your rear end and don't readjust the LSPV, it'll send more brake power to the rear (makes it harder to do burnouts..)
